The Indian Air Force, which never fails to make us proud, has made another phenomenal decision by announcing that from 2023 onwards the Indian Air Force will induct women Agniveers.
IAF chief Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari made this public at the Air Force Day celebrations in Chandigarh. They have also come up with a new weapon system branch and changed methodology in operational training so that each Agniveer is equipped with the right skill set and training to start a career in the forces. This is the first time since independence that a new branch is being set up by the Indian Air Force.
By the end of 2022, 3000 new Agniveer Vayu will be inducted, including women and they will be given ample training before they begin to work. All of this will be done under the Agnipath scheme. The Indian Air Force considers this as an opportunity to channelise the youth's potential and talent in the right way and help them serve the Nation. Along with all the new changes and developments, a new format of combat uniforms for personnel will also be launched.
