YouTuber develops the first ultra-portable PS5 tablet in history

By modifying the Sony PlayStation 5, YouTuber DIY Perks has produced a gaming tablet. The so-called world's first PS5 tablet was demonstrated in a video that DIY Perks uploaded on January 15. In a smaller form factor, the custom creation outperforms even the tiny PS5 Slim while maintaining the same performance as the original console. With a custom cooling system, OLED screen, speaker configuration, and 3D-printed chassis, DIY Perks builds upon the disassembled motherboard of the most recent PS5 SKU.

Compared to a standard gaming laptop, the conversion not only produces less noise and offers excellent performance, but it also makes gaming more quiet. Gamers have praised DIY Perks' creativity and believe that this form factor might be profitable. Though DIY Perks cautioned about the unpredictability of such devices becoming widely popular, DIY Perks has collaborated on other PS5 projects in the past, including a high-end brass model and a slim version with a copper chassis.

DIY Perks is testing the limits of innovation once again, transforming a powerful console into a portable gaming tablet that defies conventions in both performance and design while gamers wait for Sony to officially return to handheld gaming.
