Meta has shifted its focus to hold its users on Twitter rival app 'Threads'. After the few days of its launch, Meta has seen a major drop in users on Threads. Mark Zuckerberg held an internal conference to address this issue.
There were 100 millions users registered on Threads out of which more than half users are not active, they failed to stick to the app. And this is what not Mark Zuckerberg expected. But he said that, this down is normal and the company will soon start some new features to boost the retention of users around the app. Users will see a desktop version and search function on Threads.
As a part of strategy, Meta will collaborate Threads with one of the Meta-owned platform so that users will return to the app and users engagement will increase. These positive initiatives for retention of users make the prediction of good revenue growth, which makes investors happy.
Within this, Zuckerberg is focusing on the Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies where Meta is investing. Here, Meta is doing a fairly good job, and the company is on track. He said that, "He will cross the competitors like MS, Apple, Google and soon there will be mass adoption of Metaverse in 2030."
