Snapchat, a social media network, is introducing new generative AI features, such as AI-generated Snaps, an extended tool with AI capabilities, and more. Globally, Snapchat Plus users are progressively getting access to these new capabilities.
According to a blog post on its official website, Snapchat Plus users may access Snapchat's picture generator interface by tapping on the AI symbol located in the toolbar on the right side of the screen. From there, they can select preset options or write-in prompts to create an image. After that, the AI-generated photo can be altered and shared in the same way as a usual photo.
In addition, the organization unveiled the extend tool, which is available via the toolbar by touching the "Crop" symbol and choosing the newly added "Extend" button at the bottom of the display. With the use of AI, this tool extends the image and fills in the background, giving the impression that the subject of the photograph is farther away from the camera.
More ways to use Snapchat's Dreams feature to create creative AI selfies with pals have been added. According to the firm, users of Snapchat Plus will receive a complimentary pack of eight Dreams per month.
The social networking network had previously made inroads into the AI field. Snapchat+ users can already experiment with AI in a variety of ways, the company said, whether it's by making their own unique Generative AI Bitmoji Background or Chat Wallpaper, changing themselves in unique ways with Dreams, or using MyAI to learn about the world through conversation.
