PB-SHABD: Redefining News Delivery

PB-SHABD, a collaboration between Prasar Bharati and various media outlets, aims to democratize access to news content by providing daily feeds in video, audio, text, and photo formats. Leveraging Prasar Bharati's extensive network of reporters and correspondents, PB-SHABD promises to deliver the latest news from every corner of the country. The service offers a lifeline to smaller newspapers, TV channels, and digital portals, providing them with high-quality, customizable content at no cost.

Union Minister Thakur emphasized the platform's role in supporting smaller news organizations, which often lack the resources for comprehensive content gathering. By offering clean feeds devoid of Doordarshan's logo, PB-SHABD ensures that news outlets can freely utilize curated content in multiple languages, fostering a more inclusive and diverse media landscape.

The redesigned platforms cater to diverse interests, with dedicated sections covering national and international news, education, health, business, science, sports, environment, and opinion pieces.

Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Sanjay Jaju, commended Prasar Bharati for its efforts in modernizing news dissemination. He highlighted the synergies created by the new platforms, which are poised to deliver meaningful news content to audiences nationwide.

Through collaborative efforts, Prasar Bharati aims to enrich the news landscape and foster greater connectivity among diverse media outlets.

The launch of PB-SHABD and the revamped websites herald a new era of news distribution in India. By harnessing technology and collaboration, these initiatives promise to empower media organizations, enrich user experiences, and foster a more informed society.
