OpenAI, the maker of viral AI-chatbot, ChatGPT has announced the launch of a new version, GPT-4 . This latest large language model will generate not only text, but also multimedia elements such as images, videos and audio. The latest version offering “multimodal” system is co-developed by Microsoft and OpenAI. The latest update is already integrated by Stripe, Bing Chat, Khan Academy, and Duolingo.
The GPT-4 has some significant updates from its predecessor. GPT-4’s upgrade will allow users to input both text and image data. The newer version will have the capacity to generate longer responses of up to 25,000 words while the current ChatGPT can generate up to 8,000 words in a single output. The new AI is significantly smarter than its predecessor as test of a mock bar exam put GPT-4 in the top 10% of test takers while ChatGPT was in the bottom 10%. While GPT-4 is available for ChatGPT Plus subscribers, users can signup on to a waitlist on the Open AI website.
