Enfabrica Corporation, a startup specializing in networking and memory fabric for AI and accelerated computing, recently concluded a successful Series B financing round, securing $125 million. This round, led by Atreides Management with support from existing investor Sutter Hill Ventures, welcomed new investors including NVIDIA, IAG Capital Partners, Liberty Global Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, Infinitum Partners, and Alumni Ventures.
The funds will be directed towards advancing the production of Enfabrica's groundbreaking Accelerated Compute Fabric Switch (ACF-S) devices and solutions. These complement GPUs, CPUs, and accelerators, addressing critical networking, I/O, and memory scaling challenges in data centre AI and high-performance computing clusters.
Enfabrica's ACF-S solutions will be showcased at the AI Hardware and Edge AI Summit 2023 in Santa Clara, California. This funding will enable Enfabrica to expand R&D efforts and enhance the production of its flagship ACF-S devices, resulting in a 50 per cent reduction in compute costs and a 50-fold expansion of memory in GPU and accelerated compute clusters within data centres. The Series B financing round has elevated Enfabrica's valuation to over five times its Series A post-money valuation.
Gavin Baker, the Managing Partner & CIO of Atreides Management has joined Enfabrica's Board of Directors. Earlier this year, Enfabrica revealed its Accelerated Compute Fabric devices, a new class of AI infrastructure interconnect chips delivering unmatched scalability, performance, and total cost of ownership for various applications.
Enfabrica's 8 Terabit/second ACF switching system is now available for pre-order, bridging and interconnecting GPUs, CPUs, and memories at scale. Enfabrica CEO Rochan Sankar emphasized the need for scalable infrastructure in today's AI landscape.
Innovative AI, large language models, and deep learning recommendation models are driving the rise of cloud infrastructure, requiring effective workload management. Enfabrica's ACF solution addresses this need with a converged memory and network fabric architecture.
Enfabrica, founded in 2020 by Silicon Valley veterans, designs innovative ACF appliances for high-speed, scalable data movement between disparate components. This allows for a significant reduction in computational costs for specific applications. If you have questions about the product, customers can contact Enfabrica at sales@enfabrica.net. Enfabrica is at the forefront of creating foundational fabric technologies for the AI era, providing cutting-edge solutions that bridge computing, memory and networking.
