At the Aero India event that is taking place here starting on Monday, the scale model of the Hindustan Lead-in Fighter Trainer (HLFT-42) will be displayed for the very first time by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.
According to HAL, the aircraft's unique tail art depicts the Hindu god Maruti and represents strength, speed, and agility.
The HAL stated that the HLFT-42, which bears the slogan "the storm is coming," is the "Next Gen Supersonic Trainer" that will "play a critical role" in modern combat aircraft training. It features cutting-edge avionics such as the "Active Electronically Scanned Array," "Electronic Warfare Suite," "Infrared Search," and "Track with Fly by Wire" control system.
