Hero MotoCorp India had released a teaser of its upcoming launch in the previous week, the renovated Xpulse 200T. A modified version of the former Xpulse 200, there were many noticeable changes on the updated model.
The new two-wheeler will be powered by a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-stroke, 4-valve engine, ruffling out 19.1 bhp and 17.35 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The previous models doled out 18.1PS and 16.15Nm which is likely to be changed in the new version.
In terms of features, one can expect the Xpulse 200T 4V to be equipped with a Bluetooth-powered digital instrument cluster with turn-by-turn navigation, a USB charging port, etc. according to official reports final adjustments and tests are being conducted and will be completed by early 2023.
The visual changes to the Xpulse 200T's front end included dual-tone paintwork, and a colour-coordinated fly screen above the headlight. The LED headlight will be the same as the Xpulse 200 4V, which is said to be brighter than the one in the previous models.
Fork gaiters were also included in the new design. The new grab rail is of a tubular design, much simpler in comparison to previous versions. The 4-valve engine update has excited many bike aficionados as it means the power and torque output will be able to match many of the off-roading bikes available in India currently.
With the teaser released, the launch of the Hero Xpulse 200T is just around the corner. The new motorcycle is most likely to be unveiled in the first half of 2023, most probably at the Auto Expo in January, while launch is expected in the second half of next year.
The bike will likely priced between Rs 1.25 lakh-1.30 lakh (on road value).
Upon launch, the Xpulse 200T will be eligible to compete with, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, Honda Hornet 2.0 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
