Recent reports suggest that the unveiling of the iPhone 15 series is poised for the third week of September. While Apple has yet to provide an official confirmation regarding the specific date and occasion, Mark Gurman, a correspondent from Bloomberg, proposes a shift in the schedule, implying that the introduction of the new iPhone models could occur a day earlier than previously assumed.
Initially, speculations centred around Apple's annual iPhone launch event occurring on September 13; however, Gurman's social media post insinuates a potential shift to Tuesday, September 12. He expresses growing confidence in this adjustment, stating that the indicators are progressively aligning towards September 12. As for the commencement of pre-orders for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, it is projected to initiate on September 22.
Gurman also proposes that Apple's upcoming event will adopt a hybrid structure, incorporating prerecorded video elements, reminiscent of the approach taken in last year's iPhone 14 launch. The iPhone 14 series was revealed during Apple's 'Far Out' event on September 7, and pre-orders kicked off on September 9.
It's important to exercise caution as Apple has not yet provided official confirmation regarding the existence of the iPhone 15 series. Nevertheless, if the circulating speculations hold merit, the iPhone 15 iterations are anticipated to showcase numerous enhancements in contrast to the iPhone 14 series. A notable alteration might involve the integration of a USB Type-C port, a feature notably absent in the iPhone 14 models. Moreover, it's conceivable that all iPhone 15 variants, spanning from the standard to the Pro models, could incorporate the coveted Dynamic Island functionality that is presently exclusive to the Pro lineup.
Additionally, there's speculation that the iPhone 15 Pro models will run on the Apple A17 Bionic SoC, while the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus could feature the A16 Bionic chip. The Pro variants are rumoured to sport 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a base model with 256GB storage, expandable to 2TB in the highest-tier version. Expectations also point to the iPhone 15 Pro Max introducing a periscope telephoto lens for improved zoom capabilities.
Keep in mind, with the iPhone 15's launch, the iPhone 14's price is anticipated to see a significant reduction. Presently priced at Rs 79,900, it's likely to drop to Rs 69,900 after the upcoming price adjustment next month.
