Apple Inc. is reportedly reorganizing its international business management to give more attention to India, according to sources cited by Bloomberg News on Wednesday. The report stated that this move would make India a distinct sales region within the company. In a recent earnings call, Apple announced that India had achieved a record quarterly revenue and showed robust double-digit growth year-on-year.
The report stated that Ashish Chowdhary, Apple's head of India, would replace the recently retired Hugues Asseman, who was in charge of India, the Middle East, the Mediterranean, East Europe, and Africa. The report added that Chowdhary would now report directly to Michael Fenger, Apple's head of product sales. Apple has yet to respond to Reuters' request to comment on the report.
