Ring Nebula, remains of a dying star, captured by Webb Telescope

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), which has made it possible to show previously unheard-of levels of detail about the dying stages of a star, captured amazing images of the Ring Nebula. The photos, issued by NASA and its European equivalent, display a bright green and purple eye that reveals the nebula's doughnut-like structure. The Ring Nebula, sometimes referred to as Messier 57, is a planetary nebula that is 2,600 light years away from Earth.

It provides information about the lifespan of stars. The observations from JWST have provided a new window into understanding these cosmic occurrences, and they may be used as a laboratory to research how planetary nebulae develop and evolve, according to Dr. Mike Barlow, co-leader of the astronomers' group. Scientists from a variety of nations, including the UK, France, Canada, the US, Sweden, Spain, Brazil, Ireland, and Belgium, are part of the worldwide research team examining the photographs.
