Voting for the initial phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections began on Friday, April 19, starting at 7 am and ending at 6 pm.
This phase covers several states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.
Additionally, elections are taking place in Union Territories such as Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu and Kashmir, and Puducherry. Voters from 102 constituencies spread across these states and UTs are participating in today's polling.

CRPF jawan on poll duty killed in Chhattisgarh
