Saudi Arabia installs World’s longest calligraphic mural

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has made a remarkable effort in preserving its cultural heritage by installing the World's Longest Calligraphic Mural on King Abdul Aziz Street in Makkah. The mural, designed by artist Amal Felemban, is 75 meters long and is one of a number of sculptures and installations that already beautify Makkah.

It is also a testament to the importance of Arabic calligraphy, which the Makkah Municipality considers as one of the most significant written and visual arts associated with the Holy Quran.

The "Thousand Character Classic" mural in China's Suzhou is considered one of the longest calligraphic murals in the world. The mural is over 60 meters long and is inscribed with over 1000 characters. The "Preface to the Poems Composed at the Orchid Pavilion" mural in China's Shaoxing is another one of the longest calligraphic murals in the world. It is over 35 meters long and was created by the famous calligrapher Wang Xizhi.

The "Poem of the Great Wall" mural in China's Jinshanling Great Wall is considered one of the longest calligraphic murals in the world. It is over 30 meters long and was written by the famous calligrapher Liu Gongquan.
