Just like Mumbai, Goa is also facing a major rain deficit in June. Due to the late Monsoon, water reservoir levels are decreasing, resulting in various problems for the people of Goa. The Indian Meteorological Department stated that this June's rain is 71% less than what they experience every year. It measured 174.8 mm of water this June.
As there is no rain, farmers have to wait to start any agricultural activities in this Kharif season. But as IMD said, there is a high chance that rain will show its presence with thundershowers on the 23rd or 24th of June. And high rain will be there on 24 and 25 June.
Sudden temperatures and Biparjoy have led to uncertain conditions for the monsoon in many states of India, including Maharashtra, Goa, Bihar and MP.
