From Airline Ground Staff to World Record Holder: Sufiya Sufi's 4,167 KM Run

Indian ultra-runner Sufiya Sufi from Ajmer, Rajasthan, has completed an incredible 4,167-km run from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in 68 days and 23 hours, setting a new world record.

A former ground staff assistant at Delhi Airport, Sufiya quit her aviation career to pursue ultra-running full-time.

She previously set a Guinness World Record in 2019 by completing the Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari route in 87 days, 2 hours, and 17 minutes. This time, she improved her previous record by over 18 days.

Battling extreme weather, traffic, and tough mountain terrain, Sufiya completed her journey at Dal Lake in Srinagar and dedicated the feat to the Indian Armed Forces and her supporters.
