Section 144 imposed in parts of Akola

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sandip Ghuge stated that the violence occurred following a religious post that went viral on a social media platform. Individuals from the two gatherings pelted stones at one another. According to Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Monika Raut, the incident also caused damage to a few vehicles. "Eight others were injured and one person was killed. Two police officers were among the injured when the rioters hurled stones, according to Ghuge.

The police have enrolled two cases and confined 26 individuals regarding the occurrence, SP Ghuge said.
