Greater Noida West will be able to link to the metro system through the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC). NMRC was given permission to extend the Aqua Line corridor after sending in an updated Detailed Project Report (DPR). Along the new Aqua Line, there will be eleven stops. Knowledge Park V in Greater Noida and the current Sector 51 stop in Noida will be the beginning and end points of this extension.
Details about the NMRC Aqua Line Project
- Lokesh M., the managing director of NMRC, talks about how important the project is because it will link to DMRC's Blue Line at Sector-61 station.
- The project will get people to Noida, Greater Noida West, and the Greater Noida area faster and directly.
- A 17.43-km route with 11 stops is planned, and it will cost ₹2991.60 crore.
- There are now 45,000 riders on a daily average, up from 18,000 in 2019.
- The construction of the Noida Sector-61 stop would link the Blue Line of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation and the Aqua Line of NMRC.

Future undertakings:
NMRC plans to add two more corridors to the Noida Metro in addition to the Aqua Line extension. The first corridor connects the Depot Station of the National Capital Region (NMCR) to Bodaki in Greater Noida, while the other corridor runs from the Botanical Garden Metro Station to the Noida Sector-142 station.
NMRC has submitted the Department of Planning and Research (DPR) for the Botanical Garden-Sector 142 corridor to the Uttar Pradesh government, and it is currently pending clearance for execution. It must also be cleared by the Centre after approval.

Greater Noida West will benefit significantly from the approval of the Aqua Line corridor extension since it will bring Metro connections to the neighbourhood. In addition to cutting down on travel time, the initiative will lessen traffic congestion.
