Following the May 4 crash in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, in which one soldier was killed and two others were injured, defense officials stated that the Indian Army has temporarily grounded its fleet of Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv as a "precautionary measure." After a "hard landing" in Kishtwar, a three-person ALH Dhruv crashed. The incident resulted in the death of a technician and the injuries of two pilots.
Defense officials informed the news organization that "tasks of the ALH Dhruv choppers have been ended by the power as a prudent step considering the accident wherein one Armed force jawan lost his life on May 4."
ALH Dhruv grounded for the second time in two months
Outstandingly, this is the second time over the most recent two months that the chopper armada has been grounded for checks. During a routine flight mission off Mumbai in March, a Navy Dhruv helicopter went down. There were no injuries to the three aircrew members. In April, a Coast Guard helicopter made a crash landing during trials in Kochi, causing yet another accident.
Following the incidents involving the platform, the ALH Dhruv fleets of the Coast Guard and Navy were grounded. Sources from news agencies say that the Navy and Coast Guard's ALH Dhruv choppers are going through technical tests. Now, the helicopters that have passed the inspection are flying. The Indian Aviation-based armed forces work around 70 ALH Dhruv.
ALH Dhruv mainstay of the Indian Army
The ALH Dhruv is the primary aircraft of the Indian Army, and they are frequently flown in other operational areas and at high altitudes. Around 300 Dhruv choppers, designed and developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, are in use by the defense forces in total.
The Rudra Weapon System Integrated model of these choppers is one of several that are utilized by the Army Aviation Corps. The establishment of choppers will affect the tasks as military developments need to depend on the Cheetah/Chetak armada even as extreme focus activities are happening in Rajouri and Baramulla against psychological oppressor gatherings.
