A government officer couple’s premises were raided by the Bihar Vigilance Bureau, and the recovery has raised serious questions.

On September 28, vigilance teams searched four locations linked to Patna ADM Supply Ravindra Kumar Diwakar and his wife, Danapur Sub Registrar Kumari Sweety.

Nearly ₹80 lakh in cash was recovered, including ₹70.53 lakh from their Patna flat and ₹9.44 lakh from Begusarai.

The searches also uncovered ₹52.6 lakh worth of jewellery, 48 watches worth around ₹6 lakh, and documents related to seven properties valued at nearly ₹2.92 crore.

The Vigilance Bureau has alleged disproportionate assets of around ₹1.06 crore compared with their known sources of income. The investigation is still underway.
