After the announcement of purging inactive accounts, Elon Musk made another big announcement of new features coming on Twitter on 10 May. Soon there will be voice and video chat services available on Twitter. Twitter users can talk over a call with anyone in this world, without a phone number.
He made quite the controversial point that the WhatsApp messaging service, by Meta, is no longer trustable. Twitter will start encrypting DM to secure a messaging service. So no one can read the DMs. Telegram will have X application, a combination of messages, payment and more.
This is going to be a tough competition for WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, Signals etc.
