Apple has introduced the latest MacBook Pro models in India, powered by the new M4 Pro and M4 Pro Max chipsets featuring Apple Intelligence. The company claims these MacBooks are “the most advanced family of chips ever built for a personal computer.” Alongside, Apple has also launched the latest versions of Mac Mini and iMac equipped with the M4 series chips this week.
MacBook Pro Pricing and Availability in India
The new MacBook Pro comes in two sizes: a 14-inch model starting at ₹1,69,900 and a 16-inch version priced at ₹2,49,900. Students can enjoy an instant ₹10,000 discount on both models. Available for pre-order in India, the devices will officially go on sale on November 8 through online channels and at Apple stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
Specifications of the New M4 MacBook Pro
The M4-powered MacBook Pro models offer 16GB of RAM by default, with upgrade options. The 14-inch model can support up to 64GB of RAM with the M4 Max chip, while the 16-inch version goes up to 128GB of RAM and 8TB of storage. Both models come with a Liquid Retina XDR display, reaching up to 1000 nits of brightness, and offer a nano-texture option. The 14-inch model weighs 1.55 kg, while the 16-inch model is slightly heavier at 2.14 kg.
Enhanced Features with Apple Intelligence and Connectivity Upgrades
Apple has included a 12MP Center Stage front camera in the new MacBook Pros. The M4 series integrates Apple Intelligence, offering AI-driven features previously seen on iPhones and iPads. These include Image Playground for unique image creation and Genmoji for custom emoji generation. Siri will also be enhanced with system-wide actions and personalized responses, with ChatGPT integration expected in December.
For connectivity, the 14-inch model features Thunderbolt 4 ports, while the 16-inch model boasts Thunderbolt 5 compatibility. Apple states the M4 chipset improves battery life, promising extended usage across tasks.
