Apple to release iOS 16.5 by next week with new updates

Apple is gearing up for the release of iOS 16.5, a forthcoming software update expected to roll out next week. This update, which has undergone beta testing since March, will bring a few notable features to iPhone users. One such feature is the addition of a Sports tab in the Apple News app, enabling users to access news, scores, and schedules related to their favourite teams and leagues. Another feature will allow users to initiate screen recordings through Siri, simply by saying "Hey Siri, start a screen recording." In an effort to address security concerns, Apple has also released a series of "rapid security" patches, designed to promptly address vulnerabilities that are being actively exploited or pose significant risks to user privacy and safety. Additionally, Apple has confirmed that iOS 16.5 and watchOS 9.5 will introduce a new Pride Celebration watch face and iPhone wallpaper, which will be available to the public alongside the update.
