Arvind Kejriwal SC Verdict- SC grants interim bail but Arvind Kejriwal to remain in Tihar jail

On July 12, the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case linked to the now-defunct Delhi Excise policy, initiated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta noted that certain legal issues raised in Kejriwal's plea against his arrest should be referred to a larger Bench.

Despite the bail, Kejriwal will remain in Tihar jail due to a separate arrest by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in a related corruption case.
