The Gaza conflict has turned tragic with airstrikes hitting residential areas, including the Shalayel and Ghandour buildings in northern Gaza. According to the Gaza Government More than 170 civilians were affected, and 84 were reported dead, including more than 50 children. The airstrikes have heightened the humanitarian crisis in the region, with many injured and others missing.
Without Emergency Services to Mitigate Crisis
Gaza Government stated that airstrikes hit multi-story residential buildings, which were occupied by civilian and displaced families. Civil defense and medical services were unable to respond as emergency facilities have been seriously damaged due to recent bombing attacks. The health system in northern Gaza is now at a critical level because it is already congested with patients. The situation further worsened by the ongoing siege and reduced access to medical aid. The authorities in Gaza are appealing to the world community and all UN entities to intervene on behalf of the civilians.
Civilian Struggle Amid Heavy Bombardment in Nuseirat
In another attack, in Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp, airstrikes killed 55 more civilians in the past 24 hours. The continuing attacks have ruined nearly 200 such centers, causing severe access difficulties for rescue teams.These strikes affected a school-turned-shelter, one of nearly 200 such facilities hit since the conflict began. As medical workers struggle to reach affected areas, residents are transporting the wounded in animal-drawn carts due to access limitations caused by military activity.
