Israeli Strikes Claim 23 Lives in Gaza Today

Clashes between Israel and Gaza are getting bloodier as 23 Palestinian deaths were confirmed in a strike by the Israelis on Gaza City and its Nuseirat refugee camp. Four Palestinian bodies were discovered in an apartment complex on a residential street near the al-Mashtal Hotel, while two more were found near the Nuseirat camp. Many more have sustained injuries, while shelling has hit the Halima al-Sadia School in northern Gaza.

Israel's ongoing siege and bombardment of the Gaza Strip, now entering its 35th day which have targeted multiple sites across the region. The attacks hit two parts of the eastern sector of Gaza City as well as the heavily populated Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza. Which further added to the toll of destruction and civilian casualties. Medical sources in northern Gaza said 13 were killed in a series of bombings during the day, bringing to a total of 17 for this day.

The death toll from Israel’s attacks on Gaza has risen to 43,508. This figure includes 39 fatalities reported within the last 24 hours. Since the strikes began in October 2023, an additional 102,684 Palestinians have been injured. The actual number of deaths is expected to be much higher, as thousands remain trapped under the rubble of demolished buildings. A recent UN report highlighted that nearly 70 percent of those killed in Gaza are women and children.
