Palestinian Embassy Expresses Gratitude

The Palestinian Embassy expressed its sincere gratitude for the support from India. It issued a statement to appreciate the financial aid that India provides to sustain the efforts of UNRWA because of its crucial role in helping Palestinian refugees surmount some challenges. Abed Elrazeg Abu Jazer, Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Palestine, described the aid as a "testament to India's unwavering support" for Palestinian refugees and said, it a strong testament to its historic relations with that country. Abu Jazer pointed out the support India renders agrees entirely with the aspirations of the Palestinian people over independence and the sovereignty of their state.

Indian Role in the Mandate of UNRWA

India has been given more than $40 million to UNRWA since 2018, supporting core programs in education, health, relief, and social services. In addition to funds, it has provided aid and medicines consistently to further the agency's mandate. India's financial and humanitarian contributions enhance its role in the welfare of Palestinian refugees while strengthening international efforts towards their wellbeing.
