State Bank Of India Introduces Advanced FASTag For Efficient Commutes

The State Bank of India (SBI) has unveiled a revised FASTag with the goal of cutting commuter travel times. On August 30, 2024, a new design was unveiled especially for Vehicle Class 4, which consists of automobiles, jeeps, and vans. The efficiency of toll collection and vehicle identification are improved with this upgraded FASTag.

Using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, the SBI FASTag enables direct toll payments from associated savings or prepaid accounts. It is attached to the windscreen of the car and permits traffic to flow past toll plazas without stopping for cash transactions. If the tag is connected to a prepaid account, users will need to recharge it.
