According to Girish Nair, Partner at KPMG in India, the country's aviation sector is on the verge of a major breakthrough.
Nair attributed this to the recent aircraft deals and the development of new airports across the country. Air India recently placed the largest-ever order for aircraft in global aviation history, with the Tata group-owned airline purchasing 470 planes from Airbus and Boeing, worth approximately Rs 6.4 lakh crore. This massive deal is expected to create numerous jobs in many countries.
India is also expanding its regional connectivity by opening new airports in Tier III cities. This move will significantly enhance air connectivity across the country and help establish India as a major player in the global aviation market. Overall, it is an exciting time for the Indian aviation industry.
