On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a portion of the eagerly awaited Delhi-Mumbai expressway. He laid the groundwork for road projects worth more than Rs 18,100 crore in Dausa, Rajasthan.
The public will be able to use the 246-kilometer Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section, which will reduce the time it takes to get from the national capital to Jaipur from five hours to about three. This will be India's longest greenfield expressway when it is completed. It is 1,386 kilometers long.
The travel time between the national and financial capital will be reduced by 50%, from the current 24 hours, and the travel distance will be reduced by 12%, from 1,424 km to 1,242 km.
