Both beaches have dedicated staff for beach cleanliness and maintenance and for the safety of swimmers. Both beaches comply with all the 33 criteria mandated by the Foundation for Environment Education (FEE).
Last year in 2021, Eden Beach in Puducherry and Kovalam Beach in Tamil Nadu received the coveted title for their high environmental and quality standards.
