The text-based Instagram app from Meta Platforms is preparing to launch, and it may do so as early as June, according to a report on Friday that cited people familiar with the situation.
The report claims that the Facebook parent is testing the product with some creators and influencers. An inquiry for comment from the business did not immediately receive a response.Celebrities and talent agencies have been contacted by Meta to see if they'd be interested in testing out an early version of the app that will work with Instagram.
Lia Haberman, an instructor of social and influencer marketing at UCLA in California, wrote in a message that "the decentralised app is built on the back of Instagram but will be compatible with some other apps like Mastodon."
