PDP president Mehbooba Mufti protested against the detention of her party workers and polling agents in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district during the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. She claimed that outgoing calls on her mobile number had been suspended. Police claimed the detained workers were overground workers and the action was taken to ensure a smooth election. The protesters demanded immediate release of the detained and raised slogans against the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

An ADR report reveals that 332 candidates, 38% of the analyzed contestants, have an educational background between 5th and 12th standard. 56% of 487 candidates have a graduate or above qualification. 22 have a diploma, and 12 are "just literate," while 13 are "illiterates." The remaining candidates are categorized as either "just literate" or "illiterates."

The richest candidate and BJP leader Naveen Jindal with Rs 1241 crore+ assets will contest from Kurukshetra while Independent candidate Master Randhir Singh is the poorest with declared assets of just Rs 2.
- 21% candidates have declared having criminal cases against them
180(21%) out of 866 analysed candidates have declared criminal cases against them, according to the ADR report while 141(16%) declared serious criminal cases. Two candidates in the running have openly acknowledged previous convictions in their past. While 6 candidates have declared cases related to murder (IPC Section - 302). Furthermore, 21 have admitted to having "cases related to attempt to murder.
- 159 candidates in phase 6 above the age of 60
In this phase, there are 159 candidates who are between 61 and 80 years old. While, a total of 271 candidates fall within the 25 to 40 age bracket, while a larger group of 436 candidates belongs to the 41-60 age category.

Over 11.13 crore people, including 5.84 crore men, 5.29 crore women and 5,120 third gender electors, are eligible to vote in the sixth phase.
