Luck is unpredictable! A man from India named Munawar Faroos, employed in the UAE as a driver, experienced a complete turnaround of his life overnight when he won the 20 million UAE Dirhams jackpot at the Big Ticket Live draw on December 31.
Fairoos, a private driver in Al Ain, in the recent Big Ticket Live draw, secured an amount equivalent to approximately ₹44 crore. Munavar has been a devoted Big Ticket customer, consistently buying lottery tickets for the past five years.
He acquired the ticket as part of a group of 30 individuals, and the prize money will be evenly distributed among all those who contributed to buying the lottery ticket.

In response to inquiries about his plans for the prize money and "Discussing his future plans, Munavar expressed "I’m not sure yet because I really did not expect this to happen. I’m still shocked and will need to take some time to think about my options."
On that same day, another Indian, Suthesh Kumar Kumaresan, secured a lottery prize of 1 million UAE Dirhams, equivalent to approximately INR 22,668,500. Residing in Abu Dhabi and employed as an engineer at Etihad Airways, Suthesh shared with the media that he purchased the winning ticket from the in-store counters at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

During his return to the UAE from a family vacation, he acquired this fortunate ticket. Suthesh informed Big Ticket’s representatives, “It was my seven-year-old daughter who actually chose the winning ticket numbers. My family is very excited about the win. We bought a home in India and plan to use the money to pay off the interest."
Suthesh and Munavar aren't the sole Indians celebrating lottery victories. On December 29, Gulf News reported that Nalupurackal Keezhath Shamseer, an Indian salesman from Kerala, also secured 1 million UAE Dirhams in the Big Ticket draw. He purchased the winning ticket alongside his two childhood friends, and they will divide the prize equally.
Reflecting on his win, Nalupurackal shared, “Seeing so many Keralites winning Big Ticket inspired us to try our luck. It was our fifth time buying Big Tickets. This month, we received a very special offer by email. That’s why; we decided to purchase our last ticket for 2023. We are very grateful to Big Ticket; this Dh1 million will help us materialize our dream of starting our own business. My advice to all Big Ticket customers is to not give up."
In the fortunate draw held on December 31, ten additional individuals, encompassing Indian, Lebanese, Palestinian, and Saudi Arabian nationals, secured cash prizes totaling Dh100,000 each.
