A brutal crime has shaken the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh.

In a tragic case of domestic violence fueled by character suspicion, a husband allegedly attacked his wife, Saidi Bai, with an axe while she was sleeping in the courtyard with her 11-year-old grandson.

The victim succumbed to her injuries shortly after the attack. The accused, identified as Bishan, fled the scene immediately after the crime.

The Bisthan police launched an extensive search operation, ultimately apprehending the suspect on the Dhunkod-Bhagwanpura road within 24 hours of the incident. During interrogation, the accused confessed to the heinous act.
