Third death threat to Mukesh Ambani, receives Email demanding ₹400 Cr

Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries, received a third death threat email on Monday morning. The sender had previously sent two such emails on October 27 demanding ₹200 crore.

In the third email sender mentioned that Ambani hadn't responded to his previous two emails, therefore he was raising the ransom amount to 400 crores.

The email, sent to Ambani’s official ID, read, “No matter how good your security is, one sniper of ours can kill you. This time the amount is ₹400 crore and police can’t track and arrest me”.

The Mumbai police on Monday stepped up security at Ambani's south Mumbai home, Antilia, considering the seriousness of the threat.

The first email, allegedly from Shadab Khan, was received on Friday. In it, he threatened to kill Ambani and wanted ₹100 crore. Devendra Munshiram, Antilia's security chief, promptly lodged a police report.

When the millionaire industrialist did not respond to his email the following day, he sent him another one asking for twice the amount of money.

Ambani received the third email from the same person on Monday morning, according to a senior police official. “It appears that the accused used an email service provider from Belgium and the Mumbai police had written to them to locate him through the internet protocol address. There is no headway in the case so far and our investigation is on,” the officer added.
