The death of nine-year-old Amaira, a Class 4 student at Jaipur's Neerja Modi School, has once again come under intense scrutiny after newly surfaced CCTV footage and a police chargesheet reignited concerns over alleged bullying, institutional negligence, and the handling of the investigation.

More than eight months after the child allegedly died by suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the school building on November 1, 2025, the Jaipur Police have filed a chargesheet against the school's owner-chairperson, principal, and class teacher. However, Amaira's family insists that the investigation remains incomplete and that several crucial aspects of the case have not been adequately examined.

CCTV Footage Captures Child Seeking Help Before Tragedy

A major development in the case is the emergence of CCTV footage that the family says documents Amaira's final moments before her death.

According to the footage, the nine-year-old is seen approaching her class teacher multiple times after allegedly being bullied by classmates. She reportedly speaks with the teacher, returns to her seat, and then approaches the teacher again, appearing distressed and seeking assistance. Shortly afterward, another camera captures her walking through the school corridor toward the fourth floor, where she allegedly climbed over a railing and jumped.

The family believes the footage establishes a clear sequence of events, showing that Amaira was actively seeking help before the incident. Investigators have also relied on these recordings as part of the evidence submitted with the chargesheet, which alleges that school authorities failed to respond appropriately to the child's repeated pleas for intervention.

Parents Allege Repeated Bullying

Amaira's parents have consistently maintained that their daughter was subjected to repeated bullying inside the classroom.

According to the family, classmates regularly harassed the child, leaving her emotionally distressed. They allege that Amaira repeatedly informed her class teacher about the incidents but did not receive the support or protection she needed.
