India celebrates a momentous global achievement as Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik clinches the prestigious Russia Grand Sand Master Cup 2026.
Competing against 12 of the world's leading sand sculptors at the II International Festival of Sand Sculpture in Kaliningrad, Russia, Pattnaik was unanimously selected by the jury for his breath-taking three-meter-high masterpiece.
His winning sculpture delivered a powerful, urgent message on climate change and global warming, featuring two contrasting faces of the Earth – one depicting environmental degradation and the other showcasing a greener, sustainable future through tree plantation.
This historic win not only cements Pattnaik’s reputation as one of the world's foremost sand artists but also places India on the global map for environmental advocacy through art.
Join us in congratulating Sudarsan Pattnaik for this incredible honor!
