Bihar’s Buxar district has become the center of a bizarre crime that has left both police and locals in total disbelief.

A 132-foot-tall GTL Infrastructure mobile tower, along with a 15 KVA generator and other technical equipment, has completely disappeared from a residential area in Dumraon.

The theft came to light when company officials arrived to repair the long-defunct tower, only to find the site completely empty.

Investigations have revealed a complex backstory: the land owner, Harinath Yadav, had a 12-year agreement with the company that expired in 2022.

Following the expiration, the company allegedly stopped payments and ignored multiple notices.

While the company has filed an official theft complaint, initial police findings suggest this may not be a standard "theft" but rather the landowner taking matters into his own hands by selling the structure for scrap due to unpaid dues.

Is this a case of bold theft or a desperate move by a landowner ignored by a giant corporation?
