June 21: There has been severe criticism directed towards the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) regarding its selection process for undergraduate medical seats. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the Centre once more on Thursday about the alleged anomalies in NEET and the termination of UGC-NET. On June 21, the Supreme Court yet again declined to stay the counselling procedure while considering new petitions requesting the cancellation of NEET UG 2024. Congress and its state affiliates have taken to the streets of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Lucknow, Telangana, and several other states as part of their nationwide protest. They are demonstrating against the abrupt cancellation of UGC NET and the purported NEET UG paper leak.

- West Bengal: Congress leader and state president, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, staged a protest against the NEET-UGC controversy. They said that increasing incidents of paper leaks in major exams like NEET have begun to pose a huge crisis for the future of our youth.
- Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Youth Congress President, Motha Rohit, organized a protest today at Union Minister Kishan Reddy's home and called for the NEET exam to be cancelled.
- Punjab: Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, the president of the Punjab Congress and a member of parliament from Ludhiana, spearheaded the state unit's protest against the purported anomalies in the NEET medical entrance exam.
- Jharkhand: Protests were staged by Congress workers in Ranchi, Jharkhand, in response to reported discrepancies in the NEET-UG 2024. They also insisted that the test be cancelled. Over a two-kilometre distance, the procession began from Sahid Chowk and ended at Raj Bhavan, under the direction of state Congress president Rajesh Thakur.
- Nagaland: Congress workers of Nagaland also protested against the paper leaks and irregularities of NEET-UG 2024. "The Modi government has crushed millions of dreams. We will not let this injustice continue. We will ensure justice for our students," Congress tweeted.
- Jammu and Kashmir: As part of the nationwide protest that the Congress is doing today, the J&K Congress party has initiated a protest in the area. The Gandhi-led political party's J&K section is calling for the scrapping of NEET UG 2024.
- Dharmendra Pradhan, the minister of education, has cancelled his attendance at an event at Delhi University since the INC and several student organizations are demonstrating in the nation's capital against the ongoing NEET UG and UGC NET scandals.
- On Friday, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed the relevant minister to act immediately to protect the students' interests.
- UP: Today, the Uttar Pradesh Congress is demonstrating against the NEET UG and UGC NET scandals in Lucknow.

- Delhi: Workers for the Delhi Congress protested outside the headquarters of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday, citing anomalies in the NEET-UG 2024 exams. Devendra Yadav, the president of the Delhi Congress, led the protest.

- A plea for the cancellation of the NEET UG 2024 exam and the July 6 start date for the counselling and seat allocation process was heard by the Supreme Court today. Nonetheless, the Supreme Court declines to move the NEET UG 2024 counselling date from July 6.
