IPL Cricketer Shashank Singh and Retired IPS Father Booked for Allegedly Assaulting Domestic Help in Bhopal

Punjab Kings (PBKS) rising star and IPL cricketer Shashank Singh has found himself in the middle of a massive legal controversy. A 31-year-old domestic cook, Vipendra Singh Tomar, has filed a police complaint accusing Shashank, his retired IPS officer father Shailesh Singh, and their driver of severe physical assault, verbal abuse, and wrongful confinement.

  • The Allegations: According to the cook, he was recently hired to work at the family's Bhopal residence for a monthly salary of ₹15,000. He alleges that after facing verbal abuse over the food he prepared, he decided to quit. However, his employers allegedly confiscated his phone, locked him in a room, and brutally beat him when he demanded to leave.

  • Viral Appeal: Videos of the complainant showing visible injury marks on his body have gone viral on social media, where he is seen demanding justice. The Ratibad Police in Bhopal have registered an FIR under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

  • Shashank Singh’s Defense: Following the massive uproar, the cricketer released a statement completely denying the assault allegations. Shashank clarified that the cook was caught secretly taking photos and videos of their private rooms. The family only took his phone to delete the unauthorized media and did not physically harm him. He called the allegations "false" and an attempt by the cook to save himself.

The police investigation is currently underway to uncover the truth behind the conflicting claims. Follow Vygr News for the latest updates on this developing story.
