tragic and horrific road accident occurred in the bustling Rajwada area of Indore on Sunday afternoon, leaving two people dead and two others severely injured.

The accident took place around 3:30 PM when a speeding IMC electric city bus (PM Bus Sewa) lost control and ploughed into bystanders and a parked auto-rickshaw. The deceased were identified as 36-year-old auto driver Ganesh and 40-year-old Jitendra Sharma.

According to MG Road police, preliminary investigations revealed the disaster was caused by driver negligence, as the driver accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Shocking CCTV footage captured the moment the bus violently crushed the auto and ran over pedestrians before swerving into a shop.

An outraged mob vandalized the bus in the aftermath, but police quickly detained the driver, Dhanraj Gangle. Just minutes later, a second e-bus surged uncontrollably in the same area but was swiftly halted by on-duty officers. Following the incident, the City Congress has demanded a high-level inquiry and heavy compensation of ₹1 crore for the victims' families.
