AAP Protests Nationwide Against BJP's NEET Scam

The NEET UG 2024 exam has its challenges with controversy, with claims of paper leaks and exam irregularities sparking nationwide protests. Political parties, student unions, and candidates are calling for a re-exam and a thorough investigation.

Protest against Neet

The Supreme Court has ordered the National Testing Agency (NTA) to accept responsibility for any negligence and retest 1,563 candidates affected by exam disruptions. Fresh admit cards will be issued shortly. The NTA assured that examinees from Patna and Godhra, who were under investigation for alleged irregularities, did not receive an unfair advantage.

Supreme Court

The Allahabad High Court ruled against NEET candidate Ayushi Patel, who claimed that her OMR sheet was torn. The court determined that she submitted forged documents and allowed the NTA to take legal action.

Protests are intensifying, with the AAP branding the alleged NEET scam a "national disgrace." They demand that the exam be scrapped and retaken, with a Supreme Court-monitored investigation. Congress plans a nationwide protest on June 21 to demand immediate action.

Protest Across National Level

In Bihar, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sinha linked the alleged scam to political figures and promised strict action. Asaduddin Owaisi of AIMIM criticized the central government and advocated for a re-examination overseen by the Supreme Court.

The controversy has affected millions of students, with various groups calling for transparency and fairness. As investigations continue, the outcome remains uncertain, with students and their futures at risk.
