A heartbreaking tragedy has unfolded in Vrindavan, where a spiritual journey turned into a nightmare for a family from Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh.

Abhigyan Gupta, 21, was visiting the famous ISKCON temple with his father when he came into contact with a water-mist cooler installed outside the entrance to provide relief from the summer heat.

Faulty wiring and lack of maintenance caused a live electrical current to leak into the cooler, resulting in Abhigyan's immediate electrocution.

Despite his father’s desperate attempts to save him and prompt medical attention, he was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Municipal authorities have since launched an investigation, citing negligence by the contractor responsible for the equipment.

This incident has sparked massive outrage, raising urgent questions about public safety and the maintenance of cooling installations at crowded religious sites.
