Starbucks "Glassy" Vanilla Frappuccino Recalled by order of the FDA

More than 300,000 bottles of Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino chilled coffee drinks have been recalled, due to the possibility of glass in the beverage.

According to the Food and Drug Administration's website, PepsiCo, which sells Starbucks-branded ready-to-drink coffee beverages, has voluntarily recalled 25,200 cases containing 12 bottles in each case.

A recall is when a product is removed from the market by the manufacturer or government agency because it is deemed unsafe or in violation of regulations. In the case of food and beverages, a recall is typically issued when there is a risk to public health.
