After Ashneer Saga, Now BharatPe CEO Suhail Sameer Has Resigned

Suhail Sameer, CEO of BharatPe has resigned from his post. Suhail led the Fintech side after Ashneer Grovers’ termination. BharatPe has stated that he will transition from his role as CEO to Strategic Advisor, effective from Jan 7, 2023. The Current CFO of BharatPe, Nalin Negi has been appointed as interim CEO to ensure the smooth execution of operations till BharatPe appoints its new head.

Post the Ashneer Grover debacle over misappropriation of funds and his termination, there has been a back-and-forth between him and Suhail Sameer on social media platforms. Mr. Grover has posted a sarcastic poem on social media over the resignation of Suhail. The top leadership of BharatPe has been in turmoil after allegations of misappropriation of company funds have come to light post the Ashneer saga.

BharatPe has reportedly engaged a top head-hunting firm to assist them with planning a succession for the top post.

BharatPe is a payment app that allows merchants to accept UPI and card payments from any payment app for free. It makes payment acceptance simple by offering merchants a single QR code to accept all payment from apps such as PayTm, PhonePe, Google Pay, BHIM and 150+ other UPI apps. BharatPe also offers loans, investments and insurance to small merchants.
