Yashasvi Jaiswal made history on Thursday, May 11, during a Rajasthan Royals' match against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The young cricketer achieved the fastest fifty in the Indian Premier League (IPL) to date, taking just 13 balls to break the previous record held by KL Rahul and Pat Cummins. Additionally, Jaiswal tied for the second-fastest fifty in T20 cricket, sharing the record with Sunil Narine, Mirza Ahsan, and Marcus Trescothick. However, Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, and Hazratullah Zazai still hold the record for the fastest T20 fifty. Jaiswal's innings were characterized by an explosive start, as he scored 26 runs off the first over and helped the Royals achieve the second-most runs in the first over of an IPL match.
