Women's IPL to start from February 26,2023

The Indian Premier League, which happens to be the biggest franchise cricketing T20 tournament around the world, has been in action since the year 2008 and will very soon be approaching its 15th edition of the men's tournament.

However, as cricket has evolved as a game slowly with time, the women's game has also been gaining a lot of attention, and now, after years of trial games being played during the playoffs of the men's game, there is going to be an official women's edition of the Indian Premier League, which will not only be beneficial for the women players but will also be beneficial for the Board of Control of Cricket in India, as there will be investors from all over the world.

The BCCI which happens to be the main governing body of Indian cricket has announced that very soon there will be a women's edition of the tournament and the base price of getting a team in the women's edition of the tournament starts at 400 crores. The BCCI said that they are open to all investors and are looking forward to hosting the tournament in the near future.

The BCCI is looking to auction away five franchises for the upcoming women's Cricket league which will most likely take place in the March of 2023. They set the price by looking back in time in 2008 when the Ambani's had both the Mumbai team now known as Mumbai Indians. Back then the Mumbai team was sold to Ambani's at its price of 446 crores.
