Virat Kohli's Instagram earnings could be overstated but is his popularity still the same?

Star batsman Virat Kohli denied rumours that he receives an astounding 11.4 crore for each sponsored Instagram post on Saturday. The former Indian captain called the Instagram Rich List 2023 article, which claimed that Kohli earned over Rs. 11 crore for every post on the social platform, "not true." The report that has been circulating regarding Kohli's social media profits is untrue, he stated on his Twitter account, adding that he is "grateful and indebted to all that I have received in life."

Along with Kohli, Priyanka Chopra's name appeared on the Hopper list. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, two football legends, were at the top of the list with earnings of about 26 and 21 crores per post, respectively.Chopra is in 29th place on the list, while Kohli, who has almost 256 million Instagram followers, is ranked at position 14. Earlier in 2019 and 2021, Kohli was mentioned on this Insta Rich list. In 2021, he held the 23rd spot, although Kohle had been named the "Most Engaged Account of the Year" two years earlier.
