When facing Nitish Rana's KKR, Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Kolkata scored a total of 200 runs in response. KKR defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 21 runs on Wednesday at the venerable M Chinnaswamy Stadium after RCB could only manage 179/8 after 20 overs.
KKR, led by Nitish Rana, have struggled to produce in their most recent games, and they hope to change that against RCB. Kolkata has conceded 200 runs or more in each of their seven games so far this season. This year, the opening pair has caused Captain Rana and Coach Chandra Pandit even another problem.
KKR has explored five different combinations up the order, but none of them has been very effective. On the other hand, RCB's top order has so far been the highlight of the IPL season.
Glenn Maxwell, Virat Kohli, and Captain Faf du Plessis are all now in excellent rhythm. Maxwell at home (Chinnaswamy) has been in a no-mercies mode thus far this season, amassing three scorching fifties at the stadium.
